Charlie lends a hand at the book signing table at this Black History Month Celebration. World famous author and educator Dr. Alvin Poussaint is the special guest Charlie helps out at the book signing table at the Black History Committee of Orange County Inc., Annual Black History Gala on March 8, 2008. World famous author and educator Dr. Alvin Poussaint, the Keynote Speaker at the gala, was providing signed copies of his latest book after the event. Dr. Poussaint is an expert on race relations in America, the dynamics of prejudice, and issues of diversity as our society becomes increasingly multicultural. The Black History Committee of Orange County, whose goal is to educate the citizens of Orange County about Black History and its importance to the American culture, was proud to have such a prestigious speaker at their event. And when he asked if someone could help him because of a line around the corner waiting for a signed copy of Come on People: On the Path from Victims to Victors, co-authored by Bill Cosby, Charlie jumped right in.
