More so than at any other time since the world came together to heal at the end of World War II, has there been a greater sensitivity of decent people toward a healthy awareness and understanding of the world's communities. Our differences pale in comparison to all that we have in common as humans.
Franklin Roosevelt often spoke of a "great community mobilization" that must begin with the "voluntary mobilization of local American neighborhoods driven by the forces of human kindness and cooperation." Charlie's history in the central Florida community is grounded by that same kind of sincere appreciation of the many faces of diversity that make us greater as a people and a nation.
